welding alloys have been proven to out weld class 2 copper caps time and again.

resistance welding applications including the heavier coated steels. Composed of
CDA Alloy C15760 dispersion-Strengthened copper cold-formed by Nipperts, Nitrode
has consistently outperformed RWMA Class 2 Chromium copper electrodes in anneal
resistance, conductivity, service life and maintenance costs. NITRODE material
melts at 1700 Deg F! Class 2 melts at 930 Deg F. THE BEST CHOICE FOR ANY COATED
MATERIALS WELDING!
Z-TRODE is a cost-effective cap electrode available for resistance
welding of light to medium gauge coated and uncoated steels. The Z-TRODE cap
electrode is cold formed from CDA Alloy C15000 zirconium copper. The Combination
of advanced copper metallurgy and Nipperts cold forming technology yields an
electrode that outperforms RWMA Class 2 chromium copper electrodes in all areas
of resistance welding productivity, including mushrooming resistance,
conductivity, service life and maintenance costs.
